The heirs of the 19th and 20th generations of the Chen family, folowing the example set by their ancestor Chen Fake, travel around the world to spread Chen style taijiquan (tai chi chuan) and raise their students’ gongfu (kung fu) level.

Chen YingjunChen Yingjun is the second son of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, thus a 20th generation descendant of the Chen family, the family that originally created taijiquan (tai chi chuan) in the 17th century. Chen Yingjun was born in Chenjiagou in 1976, and started to learn taijiquan (tai chi chuan) when he 8 years old. Nowadays he dedicates fully to his practice and to teaching Chen style taijiquan (tai chi chuan) In 8 countries of 4 different continents.

Jan SilberstorffJan Silberstorff was born in Hamburg, Germany, and started his martial arts practice in 1975, and taijiquan (tai chi chuan) in 1987, having lived and studied in Chenjiagou (the Chen family village), in China, the birthplace of taijiquan (tai chi chuan), for one and a half years. In 1993 he started training under the tutelage of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang (the 19th generation standart bearer),being accepted as a disciple and 20th generation member of the Chen family. He was the first foreigner to get a medal in the International Taijiquan (tai chi chuan) Championship set forth by Chenjiagou. In 1994 he founded, together with his former teacher Shen Xijing and the Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang he founded the “World Chen Taijiquan Association (WCTA)”, the largest taijiquan (tai chi chuan) association in the world, present in 25 countries. In 1996 he started travelling to teach in many german cities and later on in eastern Europe and Asia, including in a Buddhist monastery in Sri Lanka. In 2003 he published his first book about Chen style taijiquan (tai chi chuan), now available in 3 languages.
